I enjoy blogging to be honest. I believe that it is important to express your thoughts and ideas to everyone and comment on each others thoughts and blogs. I have never blogged before so this has been a great experience for myself.
I did indeed enjoy writing my blogs because I spoke about a topic that I like and am interested in.
I doubt that I continue to keep blogging after this class because I do not have the time. However, if I find something that I am really passionate about I will indeed write a blog about the subject. And if I choose to keep blogging I will use the Beat Blogger.
Blogging is a great way to tell stories. It is your own special way in order to express your ideas and share your thoughts. I honestly think it is the best way in order for people to tell stories.
Some things that I did like about this class was that we got to choose what we talked about and blogged about. I also liked how easy Blogger is to use. It was not a complicated blog spot to use which I expected it to be at first. One thing that I did not like about this class was that I was just not that into and interested in blogging, which is just a personal thing and has nothing against the class.
Before taking this class I wish I had blogged before. I wish I had gained some blogging skills before taking this class so I could be a better blogger but I have learned so much from this class.

The San Diego Tribune had a great perspective on what it is going to take in order for the Chargers to win this year. They say that the Chargers need to play as a team instead of playing as individual plays which I completely agree with. They say that with the new first round draft pick of Joey Bosa that they have a better chance of playing better due to the fact that Joey Bosa is a team player along with a leader on and off the field. Also, Chargers new offensive line guard Orlando Franklin they have a better chance of playing as a team because he was a captain on the Denver Broncos for some time before being traded to the Chargers.
Another blog from the San Diego Tribune is about how Chargers Chris Swain just graduated from the United States Naval Academy. The rookie fullback missed the start of organized team activities (OTAs) this week, and that's just fine by the Chargers. They know what they signed up for this April, what Swain signed up for years ago. On Friday, he will graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, being commissioned an officer. It is pretty honorable to know that one of the players on the Chargers has some military background and partially served his country by attending the Naval Academy. “His number one priority is to serve our country,” General Manager Telesco said. “His number two priority would be the Chargers. We’re OK with that. We’re all on the same page. We’ll accommodate what his schedule is. The Navy has been great. … They said that they can accommodate our schedule. Obviously, we’re very grateful for that. We know what his number one priority is. We’re not going to change that" (Gehlkin).

With the season coming to a near teams are starting to have to cut players from their team in order to make the 53 man roster. The Chargers have been watching everyone in summer training camp very closely in order to determine who is the best 53 players on the team and who will they cut. I spoke to one of my friends parents who is a NFL player analysts for the Chargers and he gave me some really good information. He told me that "The Chargers want to keep everyone on the field but that is something that is unrealistic. The Chargers will have to make a lot of tough decisions on who they are going to keep. They do not base their roster on who have the most experience but rather who performs the best. Summer training camp has given the coaches on the Chargers a lot of good perspective on who they want to keep and who they want to let go" (Rick Costa). SB Nation also had a lot to say regarding who they believe who will be cut from the team. "With that in mind, I want to first address a player that I fully expect to see cut that I will not consider surprising enough to act as an answer to the question posed in the title of this article. With the drafting of Max Tuerk and the signing of Matt Slauson, Trevor Robinson is done. If they cut him, they will save $2.3 million in cap space. Add to that the fact that Robinson was one of the worst players in the league last year and you have an obvious cut candidate" (Wade). Another person I spoke to about the Charger roster is my friend who is a huge fan just like me. Freddy told me "I hope that the Chargers make the best decisions on who they are going to keep and also get rid of" (Gyles). The Chargers also have a lot of underrated players on their team SB Nation in another blog speaks about who those players are. They claim that Jerry Attaochu and Ryan Mathews are the most underrated players on the Chargers. They say they do not receive enough credit and are all star players for the Chargers. The Chargers have a long way to go before making that 53 roster official but this is the time that the players need to "shine" in order to make the team.

- The city of San Diego along with the Chargers have officially declared May 25th as "Thank You San Diego Day." They wanted to show appreciation towards they're loyal fan of San Diego so they made an entire day to show they're appreciation. The Chargers president had a little something to say as well, “We’re taking this opportunity to thank fans for caring about the team and invite them to share our excitement about the 2016 season,” said Chargers President A.G. Spanos. This is a great way for the Chargers to show their appreciation towards their fans and give back to their community and get everyone excited for the upcoming season opener.

The San Diego Chargers have HUGE news which is going to drive in many new fans and sell much more merchandise. The Chargers have announced that they are not moving to Los Angeles and instead they will remain in San Diego and will be building a much needed stadium. The new stadium does not have a set date in which it will start being built but they have just came out with the design. The final design will be the result of a design process conducted with the Joint Powers Authority, the City or other governmental entity designated by the City to coordinate the construction of the stadium and convention center expansion, if the Initiative is approved by the voters. Here's a sneak peak of what the Chargers new stadium will look like #SDnewstadium

- One of the biggest newsworthy stories for the San Diego Chargers is how they landed the perfect draft of Ohio State University defensive end, Joey Bosa. The Chargers were in desperate need of a playmaker on their defense. Bosa has proven to be one of the most dominate playmakers in college football in years past and the Chargers were lucky enough to get ahold of him. Joey Bosa says he is very excited to sign with the Chargers and can't wait to get on the field. “Nobody has higher expectations for me than I do. It doesn’t really put extra pressure on me because I already put it on myself to be the best player on the field. To always make an impact. To never get blocked. Extra pressure doesn’t affect me." It was a long process getting Bosa on the Chargers due to so many trades and other players they were also interested in but they said they made the right choice. Head coach Mike McCoy is especially excited with signing Bosa. “We are excited to have Joey, but now he has to come in and learn our system. Get to know our teammates and learn to react fast where he doesn’t have to think. Just go play and excite the fans. He is a phenomenal talent, which is why we took him at three. But now it is on him to come in, do things the right way and produce. He has to work at it.” All in all Bosa is looking forward the upcoming season and is ready to make an positive impact on the Chargers.

first blog post
Blogging is a great way to express and share your thoughts about a particular subject. My experience in journalism is somewhat new. The only class for my media studies minor I have taken is Intro to Journalism and Mass Communication. I did however learn so many great things about journalism in that class. Also, my dad was a journalism major so I have learned a lot from him as well. The beat that I am covering is the San Diego Chargers. What I hope to learn from this beat is all of the most recent news about the Chargers and the city of San Diego as well. I also hope to learn a lot about the chargers summer practices in order to prepare for they're new season that is coming up. I chose this beat because I am a huge San Diego Chargers fan and always have been. I have never covered a beat before but I am excited for this one to be my first. My strengths as a journalist is that I am passionate about what I am writing about and also I go in depth and think outside of the box for what I am covering. My weaknesses as a journalist would be that when I am writing about something that I am not passionate about I tend to lose focus and do not put in as much effort as I should be.
I have never done or made a blog before so this is all new to me. My feelings towards blogging are positive, I am really excited to show my passion for journalism and express my ideas and thoughts. The only thing that somewhat scares me is if there is not enough information that my beats provide about the chargers summer practices. I am confident that I will give my best effort in this and I will be able to cover many really stories about the Chargers. What I will learn from blogging is how to share my ideas and thoughts professionally along with being able to cover the story I am following in depth.
